About Me Extended Version

 My name is Dorine White. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in Humanities. Currently, I am getting my MA in History from Arizona State University and my AFA in Creative Writing from Everett Community College.

I am a member of the SCBWI, Storymakers, ANWA, and the PNWA. I write middle grade and YA fantasy. My first book, The Emerald Ring, was published in May 2013 by Cedar Fort Books. The second book, The Ruby Pendant, came out in April 2014. The third book, The Diamond Looking Glass, was released in Nov. 2015. The Sapphire Blade, the fourth and final book in the series came out in the Fall of 2016.

My YA fantasy, The Awakening, a thrilling adventure, came out in Dec. 2014 from Skyrocket Press. I also had the privilege of working as an associate editor for Middle Shelf Magazine.

My latest book is a How-To book perfect for fellow writers. How To Build Your Author Platform hit shelves Nov. 2018 and is available in both Ebook and Print.

I live in the beautiful but rainy Northwest with my husband, six children, and one grandbaby.
